Backing up log files to SD card

Didactum's Ethernet-based measurement systems can archive measurement data from analog and digital sensors. Depending on the chosen storage location for the archived log files (USB stick / FTP / SD card / email), select "Enable detailed logging" in the respective settings => "System settings" => "Logging". Please save your settings (diskette icon).

Then, switch to the last tab under "Logging" => "Sensors".

Here, simply select the desired sensors individually. The selected measurement data will then be logged by the Ethernet-based measurement system.

An additional directory named "sensors" will be created in the root directory, where the "log", "diff", and "full" directories already exist. In the "sensors" folder, directories are automatically created that correspond to the identifiers (IDs) of the sensors to be logged (201001, 201002, 201002, etc.).

The sensor log files generated by the IP-based measurement system are named according to their creation time (for example, "2012.12.10_15-40-21.201001.csv", "2012.12.10_15-40-21.201002.csv", etc.). The filename contains the identifier/ID of the respective sensor (e.g., "201001"). The files are saved in CSV format (plain text) and can be opened and edited with programs such as Microsoft Excel. The dump file, updated every second, contains the measurement period (in readable format and as a timestamp) and the sensor reading (in float format with an accuracy of 3 decimal places).

Note from the technical editors:

If no sensor is connected to the IP-based measurement system, no directories will be created and no dump files will be filled!
