Communities
SNMP community setting can be found in the tab Preferences → SNMP. In the fields "Community for SNMP read-only” and “Community for SNMP write”.
Download MIB file
MIB file available in “Preferences” → “SNMP” in the “Download MIB file” link.
Enable SNMP agent
Current appliances support SNMP ver. 1, 2с, and 3.
For SNMP version 3, advanced security settings are available.
Warning:
When using SNMP v3, the passphrase length should be at least 8 characters. Otherwise, there will be an authorization error.
Information:
The following characters can be used for names and passwords:
Latin letters in upper and lower case
Numbers from 0 to 9
Special characters ~!@#$%^&()_=*-+{}[]:;<>"|/
Attention!
For the SNMP manager to be able to convert the OID in the MIB tree from the numerical to a character form, you must install the DIDACTUM MIB file on your SNMP manager!
Enable SNMP on a monitoring unit
Open the Didactum web Interface >> main menu “Prefernces” >> “SNMP” >> tick option “Enable SNMP”
