The Didactum Monitoring Systems 100 (DC) / 400 / 500 II (DC) / 600 / 700 can be installed in 19-inch network or server racks. Please note that the rackmount kits for the Monitoring Systems 100 III (DC) and 400 must be ordered separately. Only mounting brackets are available for the Monitoring System 50.
All Ethernet-based monitoring systems occupy one rack unit (1U) in an IT rack (as of June 2018).
The 500 II and 500 II DC (48V DC power supply) infrastructure monitoring devices are supplied with the expansion board as standard. An internal GSM modem is available as an option. Alternatively, you can order the internal 1-Wire module.
Please note that if you order the 500 II (DC) monitoring system including the 1-Wire module, the expansion board cannot be installed. However, the 500 II (DC) monitoring device including the 1-Wire module can be equipped with the GSM modem.
In summary:
- 500 II (DC) including expansion board and GSM modem = possible
- 500 II (DC) including expansion board and 1-Wire board = not possible
- 500 II (DC) excluding expansion board, including 1-Wire board and GSM modem = possible
Every Didactum monitoring system can send a regular SMS status report about the overall system status. Instructions on how to set up such status messages on your measuring and monitoring device are available here in the technology portal.
Please check if your Windows 10 firewall is enabled. If so, please temporarily disable it or add an exception rule in the Windows Firewall. Afterwards, you should be able to access the web interface of your monitoring system without any problems.
Simply insert an empty USB stick into the IT monitoring system and wait approximately 60 seconds. The system will automatically create a file named "system_report.info". Open this file with a text editor to see the currently assigned IP address, hostname, subnet mask, gateway, DNS, etc., of your Didactum monitoring unit.
