Brief description of the DC instrument transformer
This DC current transformer can measure DC voltage from 0 to 100 A.
This transformer consists of a plastic housing with an integrated DC current loop (open/closed) and a 4-pin terminal. To transmit the measurement data to the measurement and monitoring systems, the separately available DC current transformer sensor is required. This sensor is equipped with a 4-pin terminal, a 12 V power supply, and an analog 0-5 V RJ12 output. A 2-meter RJ11 patch cable for connecting to the IP-based measurement and monitoring device is included.
Safety Instructions:
Please strictly observe all applicable regulations and safety rules for electrical work! Have the installation carried out by a qualified electrician or a professional with additional training. Please also observe accident prevention regulations and all applicable occupational safety regulations. The technical specifications of the DC current transformer must not be exceeded under any circumstances! This applies particularly to the specified permissible temperature ranges and the prescribed IP protection classes.
Then the transducer is closed again and connected to the sensor for the DC transducer.
You can give the sensor a custom name. Under “User defined type,” please select “current.”
In the bottom field, “Expression,” please enter 20*x-50, where K=20 and b=50.
Then click “OK” to save your entries.

Installation of the DC current instrument transformer
Note that the maximum insulation voltage is 2 kV. The DC current transformer can accommodate DC cables with a maximum diameter of 10 mm. Simply open the transformer's cover and insert the cable. Then close the transformer again. Please note that the maximum distance between the DC current transformer and the Ethernet-based measurement and monitoring device must not exceed 50 meters!
Mount the current transformer in a suitable location using the included M4 screws and M4 nuts. Then connect the sensor to the DC current transformer using the included 4-core ribbon cable. Simply connect the green connector to the current transformer. Then, also mount the sensor in a suitable location using the included M4 screws.
Next, connect the sensor to the included patch cable. Simply plug the other end of the patch cable into a free sensor port on the IP measurement and monitoring system. Alternatively, you can use your own RJ11 patch cable.
The sensor is automatically detected by the measurement and monitoring system via auto-identification and displayed in the German-language web interface. Log in to the measurement and monitoring system using your internet browser. The sensor transmitter will be displayed under the menu item "System Tree". This sensor can be individually configured.
