Didactum Manager
The Didactum Manager is a program for managing a large number of existing IP thermo-hygrometers, monitoring systems, and PDUs. With the Didactum Manager, you can simultaneously deploy the desired device configurations and firmware updates to multiple Didactum devices on the TCP/IP network.
Licensing model
The Didactum Manager is a paid product. The Manager requires a license in the form of a certificate, which you can order from the Didactum online shop. Please note that our sales department requires the name of the company or authority, the contact email address, and the MAC address of the device in order to issue the certificate. After receiving this information, the sales department will send you the certificate key(s).
Parameters of the Didactum Manager (as of 08/2021)
| Upload | Here you can select the configuration file or firmware for rollout. |
| Add | Here you add another Didactum monitoring system or web thermo-/hygrometer. |
| Delete | Here you remove a unit from the Didactum Manager. |
| Import | Import a unit into the Didactum Manager here. |
| Export | Export the database to a local drive here. |
| Update | Execute an update action for settings or firmware on the selected devices. The task is added to the queue. |
| Stop | Cancel tasks in the queue. |
| Clear Status | Clear the current status data. |
Add monitoring systems & IP thermometers
Description of parameters:
| IP address | IP address of the IT monitoring system |
| Port | Port address (usually port 80) |
| Login | User login with administrator rights on the device, as otherwise device configuration and Didactum firmware update are not possible. |
| Password | User password |
| Description | Optional device description (example: Room 5) |
After adding a device to the database, the Didactum Manager performs periodic queries. The received data is displayed in the Didactum Manager interface as follows.

Update device settings or firmware using the Didactum Manager
Click the "Load" button and import the device settings or the firmware file (Firmware tab).
Please select the desired actions. Note that the device's IP address will not change during the update.
In the Didactum Manager, select the IP thermometers/monitoring systems and PDUs you wish to update.
Then, click the "Update" button. The update tasks for the devices will be added to the queue.
Please wait until the queue tasks are completely finished.
Notes:
Remember that the device will restart after the update, and it may take some time before the devices are available again.
A successful firmware update performed by the Didactum Manager is indicated by the changed version number (the firmware version is displayed in the device table).
To verify the new settings (firmware update/installation of the new configuration file), log in directly to the updated monitoring system.
