Setup under Windows 10

By default the Didactum Monitoring System can be reached via the IP address 192.168.0.101. To put the device into operation, you must adjust the network settings of your terminal device so it can reach this IP address. To do this, temporarily change your IP address. If you still need access to the corporate network or the Internet during configuration, you can also assign a second IP address to your network interface.

Recommended settings for your network interface:

IP address: 192.168.0.2
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Note: Older Didactum Monitoring Systems, including models 100 IV, 500 II, and 600, are reachable via the IP address 192.168.0.193!

1. Open the Control Panel and select Network and Internet.

2. Open the Network and Sharing Center page.

You can now access the web interface of the Didactum monitoring system in your browser via the IP address 192.168.0.193. You can configure all settings using the guest account with the username "guest" and password "guest".

3. Now select the "Change adapter settings" option.

4. Right-click on your network interface and select Properties.

5. Now select the item “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IV4)” and 6. then click on the Properties button.

7. You can now adjust the adapter settings. For example, select the IP address 192.169.0.2 and the subnet mask 255.255.255.0.

8. If you want to assign an additional IP address, click the "Advanced..." button.

9. You can now assign another IP address to your network interface using the "Add…" button. Unfortunately, this is not possible in Windows if you obtain your network configuration via a DHCP server.
