Overview of Power Distribution Units (PDUs)

Here you will find the Power Distribution Units (PDUs) from Didactum. These intelligent power strips operate stand-alone. No additional hardware or software is required for operation. These 19-inch PDUs are easily configured via the German-language web interface. Simply connect electrical devices such as servers, storage equipment, or network equipment to the C13 sockets.

Access the PDU remotely using the web browser on your PC, laptop, smartphone, or tablet and control the power supply. Every Didactum PDU supports SNMP protocols v1, v2c, and the encrypted v3, enabling seamless integration with SNMP tools, DCIM software, or network management systems (NMS). The necessary MIB files and plugins for Nagios are available free of charge.

In addition, each PDU offers connections for Didactum's intelligent IP sensors. Measure and monitor crucial physical parameters such as temperature and humidity in your 19-inch server rack. Custom thresholds can also be defined in the web interface. The scalable architecture of Didactum PDUs supports the connection of CAN-based sensor boxes, allowing you to monitor additional rooms or IT racks. Real-time sensor data is stored in the PDU's data logger. The integrated data visualization displays information such as the temperature profile in the server room. Measurement data can be exported in CSV or XML format, making it ideal for checklists and reports.

Receive timely notifications and alerts regarding risks and hazards via SNMP traps, email, or SMS (*via GSM or LTE modem or web-to-SMS server). Optionally, flashing lights or alarm sirens with a strobe function can also be connected to the switchable PDU.

The PDU's integrated logic allows for the implementation of numerous automated actions and rules, such as automatically shutting off the power supply in case of overheating in the server rack or a battery acid leak from the UPS system.
