Didactum's monitoring systems are regularly tested for functionality with MS Exchange.
Please check:
- the account settings in the monitoring system
- the password used (typos)
- whether Exchange is blocking the device (ActiveSync device access rules)
Please delete the passwords saved for the Didactum IT monitoring system in your browser. Otherwise, the browser will automatically fill in the "Login" and "Password" fields in the "Email" menu.
In Mozilla Firefox, you can find the saved passwords under "Settings" => "Security".
Please delete the passwords saved for your Didactum alarm system there. Then, log in to your Didactum IT monitoring device via your browser (without saving the password beforehand) and recreate the email setup. The "Login" and "Password" fields should now be blank in the "Email" menu.
Simply click the "+" symbol in the top left corner of the web interface. A logical layout will then appear where you can configure your desired alarms and actions.
For testing purposes, our technical support requires two diagnostic files.
Please proceed as follows:
- Create a file named "Didactum_debug.conf" (without quotation marks) on an empty USB flash drive.
- Edit the Didactum_debug.conf file and add CURL_MAIL=1. Save the changes.
- Connect the USB flash drive using the original USB adapter cable included with your monitoring device. Plug the USB cable into the USB port.
- Check the web interface of the IT monitoring device under System Settings => Logging to see if the USB flash drive is enabled. If not, please enable "Activate logging on the USB flash drive."
Send another email alert (not a test email). The IT monitoring device now creates two files on the USB stick:
- curl_mail.txt – Text file containing the message text
- curl_trace.log – Log file of the email server
Our support team at support(@)didactum-security.com requires these two files for review.
