1-Wire reader configuration

You can connect a suitable RFID card reader to the 1-Wire ports of the Didactum Monitoring Systems 500 and 500-DC.

Adding a key:

Loading SQLite files

You can also upload an SQLite file containing the relevant keys to your Didactum Monitoring System. To do this, click the "Upload" button.

The following window will then appear:

Step 2:

Configure email and SMS alerts. The setup process is described in this manual under "Email Notification" and "SMS Notification."

Please remember to save the sensor and logic scheme settings to the flash memory of your Didactum Monitoring System. Simply click the floppy disk icon to do this!

Manually adding an electronic key

You can also manually add an electronic key to the Didactum Monitoring System. The code is often printed on many keys.

However, please note: If the key shows, for example, 00-00-00-DC-29-C4, the code often needs to be entered in reverse order. In this case, it would be C4-29-DC-00-00-00. If the code is not printed on the key, touch the key with the reader connected to the Didactum Monitoring System.

Then, under "Main Menu," click on the "Event Log" menu. Here you should find an "Access Error" message. The corresponding entry will contain the desired key. Please enter this key manually and then click "Save."

Key management

You can manage the key database in the "Access control" menu.

Here you can edit and delete individual keys. To do this, click on the respective user.

If desired, the existing key database can be exported. This exported key database can then be used for a second Didactum monitoring system or for backup purposes.

Simply click on "Preferences" >> "Access control" >> "Download Users database".

The database can also be imported via "Upload Users database". If desired, the entire key database can also be exported in SQLite format.

ID card reader status

The ID card reader connected to the IT monitoring system is displayed with the status "not connected." This message is correct, as no chip or ID card is currently connected to the reader.

Upon successful detection of a chip or ID card, the IT monitoring system will automatically display the status "normal." If a card not registered in the system is held against the reader, the status "Alarm" will be displayed in the IT monitoring system's web interface.
