Switching relay
The Didactum Monitoring Systems 500 / 500-DC offer the possibility to switch the integrated relays.
Relay settings:
| Name | Default name is Relay-#. A renaming is possible. | |
| Group | Here you can define the associated group. | |
| ID | Relay number. | |
| Hardware Port | Port 1 = Relay 1, Port 2 = Relay 2, and so on. | |
| Current State | Displays the current relay status (on/off). | |
| Current Value | "0" = off / "1" = on. | |
| Initial State | Relay state upon (re-)start of the monitoring system. | |
| New State | Pulse control: on = "pulse" / off = "do not change". | |
| Pulse duration | Defines the duration when pulse control is activated. Minimum: 1 second. |
Practical example:
Relay 1 is switched off. It must be switched on for 60 seconds. Under “New State,” select “pulse.” Under “Pulse duration (sec.),” enter the value “60” for 60 seconds. The relay will then switch on for 60 seconds and afterward return to the “Off” state.
When pulse control is used, the relay is always switched to the opposite state!
