Instructions for installing the LTE modem
The LTE modem module supports sending and receiving SMS messages over 2G and 3G networks, as well as Ethernet connectivity via LTE (4G). It ensures continuous communication through notifications via various channels, including Ethernet, SMS, and SNMP. One of its key features is network redundancy: If the LAN connection fails, the module automatically switches to LTE 4G to maintain the Ethernet connection.
The module integrates with Didactum monitoring systems such as the 100T, 300T, 500T, PDU 4T, and PDU 8T. It also features an integrated function for remotely restarting connected devices.
This module is ideal for network backup solutions and ensures communication security in mission-critical environments.
Important Notes:
Since the Didactum device is electrically powered, please strictly observe the following safety precautions: Never touch the device or the power plug with wet or damp hands. Repairs, modifications, or maintenance on the device may only be carried out by the manufacturer, a qualified technician, or an authorized service center. Never open the casing of Didactum products yourself!
The LTE modem is a sensitive component. Please note that even a small amount of electrostatic charge can irreparably damage this component! Therefore, installation must only be performed by qualified personnel using ESD-compliant tools. During installation, it is essential to wear an ESD wrist strap!
Our technicians will gladly install the internal LTE modem in your Didactum product (for a fee).

Step 6
Insert the micro SIM card.
Step 7
You're ready to go! Turn on the system.
You can install the modem while the system is powered on. It may take up to 3 minutes for your telecommunications provider's information to update.
IMEI number
The International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) is a unique identifier for LTE modems and other mobile devices. It uniquely identifies the LTE modem on the mobile network and allows mobile network operators to verify the device type and its network compatibility.
The IMEI will only be displayed in the Didactum web interface after you have inserted the SIM card into the modem and waited for the information to update (up to 5 minutes).
