Automatic dialing function for calls

Starting with Didactum firmware version "2.81.-b126" (December 2019), monitoring and control systems equipped with a GSM or LTE modem also offer an automatic dialing function. By automatically dialing phone numbers, the monitoring and control system can alert you to critical events and changes in status. Please note that the automatic dialing function does not support voice communication. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to supplement this function with SMS and/or email alerts.

Note: LTE modem users should be aware that the automatic dialing function does not work in LTE mode!

Setting up the call function

In the German-language web interface, navigate to "System Tree" and select "Dial Task." The corresponding menu will then open. Enter the name of the dialing function under "Name." In our example, we have named it "Phone Call Admin."

Enter the desired phone numbers under "Phone Number." Always include the correct country code before the phone number: +49 for Germany, +43 for Austria, and +41 for Switzerland. Separate the individual phone numbers with a space, comma, or semicolon.

Set up an alarm rule in the monitoring system

In the web interface under "Logical Scheme" you can then define a rule for automatically dialing the phone number.
