The current status of the components and connected sensors is also displayed graphically in the web interface. If a sensor reaches a critical reading, the display changes from green to red. In our example, the server room was entered without authorization. The infrared motion detector and the light barrier installed in the IT room indicate the change in status by changing color.
Individual limit and threshold values ​​can be entered for the IP-enabled sensors connected to the web-based measurement and monitoring system (alarm level (low) / warning level (low) / normal / warning level (high) / alarm level (high)).
In the "Logical Scheme" menu, you can configure custom notifications and alarms. Automatic actions, such as switching relays, can also be defined. In our example, we've configured the system to automatically send an email and SMS alert to the responsible administrators and technicians when a critical temperature is reached. The Monitoring System 100 logic can store up to 500 actions and rules.
If you have connected the optional USB video camera with day/night vision function, the video evidence can be forwarded via email, FTP upload, or directly to your smartphone. Additionally, images from up to four IP cameras can be displayed in the web interface.
The integrated site plan supports live sensor mapping, meaning critical conditions are displayed on the map as flashing lights. In our example, we mapped the IT rack using Microsoft Visio and uploaded it to the network-based monitoring system.
View the user management section of the monitoring system here. Read and write permissions for individual users can be easily defined in the German-language web interface. Naturally, Didactum's monitoring hardware also supports OpenRADIUS.
Upon request, the monitoring system can also control and monitor access to sensitive rooms and facilities. For this purpose, you connect the electronic key reader to the optional 1-Wire module. Every important event can be reported via email, SMS, SNMP trap, and also via a signal light. Every access attempt is recorded in the monitoring and control device's syslog database, including the time and date. A video feed is also available upon request.
The "CAN Configuration" menu is used to configure the optionally available digital multisensors, sensor boxes and expansion units for up to 64 potential-free / digital input contacts.
The most important basic settings for your IP-based measurement and monitoring system are configured in the web interface under "System Settings". Here you can define settings such as language, network, time, DynDNS, SNMP, RADIUS, and VPN. Modbus RTU settings (optional feature) for Modbus sensors and Modbus energy meters are also configured here.
The firmware is updated in the "System Menu" of the IT monitoring system. Here you can also export the basic settings for backing up or cloning the device configuration.
