Call function
Didactum's IP-based measuring and monitoring devices, equipped with a GSM or LTE modem, offer a call/dialing function. With this function, the device dials a pre-programmed number to alert you to specific events, risks, and hazards. Please note that the call/dialing function does not provide any additional information; that is, no voice messages are transmitted. Therefore, it is highly recommended to supplement the device's call function with important email and/or SMS notifications.
Editor's note: Please be aware that the call function does not work when LTE mode is activated on the measuring and monitoring device.
SNMP Get (Analog) query by the IT monitoring system
Log in to the German web interface. Go to the "System Tree" menu. Then, in the web interface, click the "+" icon in the upper right corner. The "Add a new element" selection box will appear. Select "Dial Task" (call function).
To set up a call function, you must enter the following parameters in the web interface:
Name of the element in the monitoring system
Recipient's phone number (only one phone number at a time)
After entering the information, please click the "Test" button to test the dialing function of the measuring and monitoring device.
Editor's note: Only one phone number can be added to the call function at a time.
However, you can create multiple "Call Function" elements. In this case, the modem of the measuring and monitoring device will execute the first call function, and after it is completed, the next call will be made. Note that the modem cannot dial two phone numbers simultaneously. We recommend using only 1 "call function" item, otherwise the modem will not be available for other important functions until the "call function" task has finished.
Implement new logic in the IT monitoring device
To integrate the call function into the logic of your IT monitoring device, simply create a new logical schema.
