Installation einer Videoüberwachungskamera am Überwachungssystem
Didactum's web-based monitoring and control systems can be optionally equipped with a video surveillance camera featuring day/night vision. Connecting this camera to the 50T/100T/300T/500T/550T monitoring system and PDUs enhances the security of your monitored infrastructure.
Access the powerful monitoring system via smartphone, tablet, PC, or laptop and get a live view of current events in your control room, technical room, server room, data center, production facility, or warehouse.
Use
A USB camera can be easily connected to any Didactum surveillance system via a USB port and enables video recording in MJPEG stream format.
Alarm-triggered recording: In the event of an alarm, the camera automatically records the video stream.
Flexible storage options: Recorded videos can be saved to an SD card or USB flash drive, or uploaded via FTP.
Real-time notifications: Video notifications are sent via email, providing immediate insight into critical events.
This solution is ideal for adding a visual layer of security and surveillance to various systems, ensuring that footage is captured and available at crucial moments.
Connection
If needed, you can connect any Linux UVC Webcam class USB camera that supports MJPEG using the included USB-A/Mini-USB-AB cable.
The USB camera connects to the "HS" port. Camera detection and connection are automatic. The USB camera can also be connected to a USB-A port, but the resolution will be lower.
When connecting the camera to the USB-A port, do not use USB extension cables; use only the included cable.
Configuring cameras and camera panels
Didactum devices can connect USB or IP cameras. The MJPEG stream from USB cameras can be recorded and sent as a video notification. IP cameras can only be monitored, not recorded.
To view all connected cameras, go to "Main Menu" >> "Cameras" in the Vutlan surveillance system's web interface.
Here you can add IP cameras. A connected USB camera will be displayed automatically.
Sending video notifications from the USB webcam
The video notification is a short AVI video in MJPEG format that is sent via email as soon as a specific event occurs in the system.
To send a notification using a USB webcam, you must use an existing email notification or create a new one.
To log events in the system, create a logic circuit that sends notifications when activated.
As the condition of the IF statement, you must select the element and its state that define the event to be monitored.
As the THEN action, select "Email notification when the logic is triggered." Then, select the status of the "Send video" field.
Example:
In this case, video notifications are sent when the motion sensor is triggered.
